Eye camps serve as a primary outreach mechanism to identify and treat eye ailments, while cataract surgery specificall addresses cataracts, a leading cause of blindness and visual impairment.

Impact of eye checkup camps with spectacle distribution:
Physical function, emotional wellbeing and overall quality of life can be enhanced:
❖ Enhanced and clearer visibility to read, write etc.
❖ Increased opportunity to continue or resume an occupation mainly for tailors, drivers etc.
❖ Increased mobility
❖ Improvement in quality of life
❖ Improved self-esteem and independence
❖ Increased ability to avoid injury

Dr Anju Singh Manager/Secretary express sincere thanks all the team members at both location for making this special eye Checkup Camp successful. TBMVKS commenced the execution of the CSR project on 18th October 2024 at Singramau & 4th January 2025 at Chhapra. The screening camp were organized at locations pre-identified by TBMVKS. A total of 2 camps organized at Singramau- Uttar- Pradesh and Chhapra-Bihar. 173 beneficiaries were screened for refractive errors. 80 beneficiaries were prescribed refractive glasses. All the patients received refractive glasses at the camp site. 55 cataract patients identified at the camps and underwent cataract surgery .
