Brief Activity Report
On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, TBMVKS organized a Camp at program office Singramau. The camp was inaugurated by DTO Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh Jaunpur. He told the Theme for World No Tobacco Day 2024 is “Protecting Children From Tobacco Industry Interference” to safeguard future generations and ensure that tobacco use continues to decline. This year, focus is on the concerning trend of youth-targeted marketing by the tobacco industry. Young people are becoming more and more exposed to the appeal of tobacco products through massive social media and streaming platform marketing, which poses a serious risk to their health and wellbeing. Coutry surveys consistently show that children aged 13-15 years in most countries are using tobacco and nicotine products. Dr Anju Singh Manager TBMVKS told that the purpose of World No Tobacco Day is to raise public awareness of the numerous health hazards that come with using tobacco products, such as heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory conditions including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).Essentially, the purpose of World No Tobacco Day is to raise public awareness of the numerous health hazards that come with using tobacco products, such as heart disease, lung cancer, and respiratory conditions including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
