Brief Activity Report
The International Women’s Day (IWD), celebrated annually on March 8th, serves as a global commemoration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Thus, year’s celebration holds even greater significance, as it marks another year of progress in the ongoing journey towards gender equality. This report delves into the key themes, accomplishments, challenges, and future prospects surrounding International Women’s Day 2024. The International Women’s Day 2024 was celebrated in the campus of TBMVKS organization office hall on the 8th of March, 2024 with the Theme “Inspire Inclusion” and the overarching theme is “Invest in women: Accelerate progress.” It emphasizes the importance of creating an inclusive society and investing in women’s empowerment The Programme began with a Welcome Speech by Mrs Ranjeeta LDM. The Resource person was also felicitated Mr Sandeep Dhakad. This year’s theme was enlightened by Smt. Anju Singh Manager TBMVKS.
Madam Anju Singh spoke on the theme which encapsulates the ongoing efforts to dismantle systemic barriers that hinder women’s advancement and highlights the collective endeavor to create a more inclusive and equitable world. The emphasis is laid on empowering women across various spheres, including education, employment, leadership, and health care, to foster sustainable development and social cohesion. She also emphasized on the numerous challenges that still persist such as violence against women, underrepresentation in leadership and access to resources. Besides the theme, Madam Anju Singh also narrated her journey as a woman and the impact that she was able to bring in the field of education and as a social activist. Her speech serves as a testament to the progress achieved in the society when women are empowered and given the opportunity to progress.
